Hey Braves! NEXT WEEK is Bullying Prevention Week from October 7-11. Help us bring awareness to the issue of bullying and pledge to make our school bully free! Attached you will find our spirit days and actions of change. Dress up and show your support! It's a great day to be BRAVE, not a BULLY!

We offer games and crafts for students to interact with friends and classmates before school. These students are playing an intense game of Tic Tac Toe!

6th Grade Social Studies classes tried their hand at engineering and designing pyramids like the Ancient Egyptians!

Parent Teacher Conferences at Clark Middle School will be held on Wednesday, October 16th 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Thursday, October 17th 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There are no appointments necessary for conferences and parents may visit with any/all of their student's teachers. If you would like to set up a conference to guarantee a 15-minute window of opportunity to visit with specific teachers, please contact the CMS office at (913) 422-5115. The secretaries will be able to help schedule the times with you or you can contact the teacher directly to schedule a designated time.

We had the honor of surprising the district's two nominees for the Kansas Horizon Award in their classrooms today! Through reviewing staff, student, and parent feedback along with building administrator recommendations, the district selected Ali Mohney, FACS teacher at Clark Middle School, and Sarah Alas, 2nd grade teacher at Delaware Ridge Elementary, to represent USD 204 in the 2025 program. The Horizon Award, sponsored by the KS State Department of Education, identifies and recognizes representatives of excellent teaching in the elementary and secondary classrooms having completed their first year of teaching in a PreK-12 Kansas school. Congratulations to our BRAVE educators! Both are excellent representatives of their schools, our district, and the community.

Thursday's Homecoming Spirit Day was dress as your favorite celebrity. We saw Andy Reid, Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Snoop Dog and so many more!

Our annual Tomahawk Trot fundraiser is coming October 15th! The Tomahawk Trot is our only school fundraiser where we ask our students, parents, community, and staff members to participate in to raise money for student centered activities. The students will walk or run approximately 2.6 miles on a route through Bonner Springs. Each participant who collects or donates $20.00 will receive a t-shirt, participate in the walk/run, and enjoy snacks after the run. Prizes will be available for the top students who receive the most donations. You can make payments in Skyward or at the front office each morning on or before October 11th!

Picture day is scheduled for this Monday, September 16, 2024. No money will need to be brought to school, it is all done online for your convenience. All students will be asked to get their picture taken for the yearbook and the identification picture in Skyward. No purchase is necessary to have the student's picture taken.
