Our annual Tomahawk Trot fundraiser is coming October 15th! The Tomahawk Trot is our only school fundraiser where we ask our students, parents, community, and staff members to participate in to raise money for student centered activities. The students will walk or run approximately 2.6 miles on a route through Bonner Springs. Each participant who collects or donates $20.00 will receive a t-shirt, participate in the walk/run, and enjoy snacks after the run. Prizes will be available for the top students who receive the most donations. You can make payments in Skyward or at the front office each morning on or before October 11th!

Picture day is scheduled for this Monday, September 16, 2024. No money will need to be brought to school, it is all done online for your convenience. All students will be asked to get their picture taken for the yearbook and the identification picture in Skyward. No purchase is necessary to have the student's picture taken.

CMS is now offering a’la carte for students. Students can purchase additional food options besides what is being served in the cafeteria that day. Students can only purchase items from a’la carte if they have money on their lunch account. Parents can set limits on a’la carte by logging into Skyward and clicking on Food Services. If your student plans to attend an after-school athletic event, they will need to have a contract signed by a parent/guardian and themselves on file in the office before attending an athletic event. This contract is good for the entire school year. It costs $5 to get into the game.

As a reminder, middle school students should not attend BSHS athletic events without an adult ( 18 years of age and older) supervising them at the event. BSHS and CMS administrators and coaches ask that middle school students sit in the stands and not gather by the concessions, behind the stands, or in the walkways of the bleachers when attending football games.

Today the cafeteria staff showcased a Noodle Bowl station. There was live cooking and an action station with fresh veggies that you could customize your ramen noodle bowl with. There was oodles of noodles today!

We welcomed all staff back this week with the annual USD 204 Convocation event! We heard from our friends at the Chamber of Commerce, the Bonner Springs/Edwardsville Education Foundation distributed Walmart gift cards to all teachers, counselors, and nurses, and First State Bank & Trust presented the district with earnings from the School Spirit Debit Card Program! The event wrapped up with celebrations, honoring our longest-serving staff and welcoming the new faces to our USD 204 family. Finally, Superintendent Rick Moulin shared his vision for the year ahead, and staff shared their own excitement to be entering a new BRAVE era!
