
Working Braves students and peers have been working hard over the past two weeks to plan for their Prom night (from flowers to the after party).


Prom 2025 was another great success! Thank you to Mrs. Stricherz and all the staff members who helped chaperone and do all the work that goes into making sure students have a fun and safe evening. As always, BSHS is an inclusive environment, and our students and staff made sure that Prom is an activity that can be enjoyed by all students.

Our singing braves had a great day at Baker University. Mrs. Greenlee said, "What an OUTSTANDING DAY at Baker University! So so so proud of our students and the emotional performance they executed today. I was beaming—my cheeks actually hurt afterward. We did it!"


On Saturday, our Unified Soccer team and coaches braved the cold weather to travel to Lawrence Free State high school to compete in a soccer tournament. The team plays again this coming weekend at Tonganoxie. Come out and support them!

Thursday morning during seminar, approximately 96 juniors and seniors attended a VU Scholarship assembly in the gym where they received individual award letters informing them of merit scholarship eligibility at 65 colleges. The award letter ceremony was made possible through a partnership with VU Scholarships and the Bonner Springs/Edwardsville Education Foundation.

🩺 An inspiring day for our future healthcare professionals! 25 of our high school students recently visited Vibrant Health and Providence Medical Center, gaining hands-on insight into medical careers and connecting with industry experts. A big congratulations to sophomore Mo'Nae Washington for receiving a $500 scholarship to KCKCC during the event! 🎉👏

On Saturday, our boys Basketball team became Sub-State Champions and advanced to the 5A State Tournament by defeating St. James Academy 67-47! Congratulations to the boys basketball team, Coach Gruver and his coaching staff!

On Saturday at State Wrestling, Junior Addison Vogel joined elite company in BSHS history by bringing home a State Champion medal! She is the second Girls Wrestling state champion in school history. Way to go Addison!!
